FLOURISH 2026
We’re getting ready for Flourish 26 - the three-day gathering organised by our client, the Yorkshire North & East Methodist District. Taking place 13–15 February 2026 at the University of York, the event is all about helping people “flourish” in their faith and community life.
27.01.26 - OFGEM DAY
From TODAY, Ofgem’s heat networks regulations officially take effect. This marks a major step: heat networks are now recognised as a regulated utility, with clear responsibilities for operators to deliver outcomes for consumers, meet technical standards, and provide transparent, fair pricing.
HNES EXTENDED BY 2 YEARS
Great news for the heat networks sector...
The Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) has been extended by a further two years, giving owners and operators more time to secure funding for upgrades that improve performance, reduce carbon, and protect consumers.

From January 2026, heat will be treated as a regulated utility.

Friday marked a big date in the D3A calendar – the 2025 Summer Social. After a brilliant time at Golf Fang in 2023, there was unfinished business and a podium to defend – so we returned, ready to settle the score.

It’s funny how life turns out…
As a child, Ian Williamson, our newest D3A recruit, dreamed of being a fireman. Later, after studying structural drafting, he worked for a manufacturing company where he designed a fireplace that achieved the lowest emissions in the company’s entire product range.
RETURN TO UTTLESFORD
Just over a year ago, the D3A Energy team made their way to the picturesque district of Uttlesford in Essex, where we carried out surveys on a number of council-owned buildings ahead of developing bespoke Heat Decarbonisation Plans.
