AMAZING RESULTS FOR STARBECK

Saving 57,000kWh a year and generating 10,700kWh of clean electricity - all in one project!

These are the results after Starbeck Methodist Church decided to take major steps to cut energy use and carbon emissions.

With funding from the VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme (via Groundwork UK) and project delivery by d3associates, the church now benefits from:

  • A 12.2kW solar PV system with 9.3kWh battery storage

  • Replacement of 100-year-old single-glazed windows

  • LED lighting upgrades

  • Improved insulation through a suspended ceiling

The outcome?

  • 57,000kWh in annual energy savings.

  • 10,700kWh of renewable electricity generated each year.

  • More on-site energy use, lower bills, and a much smaller carbon footprint.

A brilliant example of what targeted retrofit can achieve for community buildings.
