COMMUNITY SERVICES

  • ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

We are great believers in communication. From understanding the brief, through to liaising with the construction team to ensure the vision is turned into reality. We develop responsive designs which are cost effective and focused on delivering while not compromising design or construction quality.

We’re equally comfortable producing hand sketched initial concepts while also embracing digital technologies such as Revit to produce three dimensional visualisations. Our architects also have the advantage of working closely with our energy team to provide a multi-disciplinary design service, with the expertise to put sustainability at the heart of each project.

  • DECARBONISATION PLANS

d3associates decarbonisation plans are bespoke and drafted to meet your particular requirements. They propose a series of measures to be adopted to reduce your carbon footprint and can be building, site or company specific. Through a building survey and energy audit, the plan will establish the current baseline position. A route map will be developed to replace reliance on fossil fuelled systems with low carbon alternatives, as well as considering ways to generate local heat and power.

  • CONSULTATION & NEEDS SURVEYS

Consulting with the local community and carrying out a Needs Survey provides an accurate assessment of the services and facilities the community requires in the future and how these might be delivered. The aim is to identify gaps in provision and highlight the needs of the wider community.

Areas that could be considered include improved social, recreational and educational provision, increased usage of existing community buildings through improved engagement with a wider range of user groups, consideration of the need for a new community facility. The process helps to provide focus and creates the foundation to build your case for improved community facilities.

  • FEASIBILITY STUDIES, OPTION APPRAISALS & BUSINESS CASES

If challenges are found early, they can be considered and help decide whether your scheme or project is viable. d3associates feasibility studies unearth these challenges by giving an initial review of issues such as planning permission, environmental impact, budget, site appraisals, restrictive covenants and contamination to name a few. An Options Appraisal will follow, highlighting and assessing the alternatives to be considered in greater detail before progressing to concept designs.

All the project’s objectives, costs and benefits will then be fed into the Business Case. This should demonstrate to your team and any stakeholders how the costs of your project are outweighed by the benefits and lead you onto the project planning phase with confidence.

  • FUNDING ADVICE

We appreciate that funding is the key to delivering a project, whether for feasibility studies, detailed design or capital costs. We’re also well aware that funding opportunities are constantly changing so we keep ourselves up to date with both current and future funding programmes. This expertise means the d3associates team can guide our clients towards appropriate grant funding routes and assist in the preparation of applications so you’re ready for submission as soon as an opportunity presents itself.
