Geoff has visited Newcastle University’s School of Engineering, presenting a lecture as part of the Energy Management module.

Great news for our client the Yorkshire North & East Methodist District, who’ve been nominated in this year’s Community Energy Awards.

North Yorkshire has been awarded £22 million from the Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund.

James recently graduated from Newcastle University with a First-Class Honours MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Energy Systems.

Having welcomed 2 new faces to our Architectural team over the last few weeks, it’s now the turn of our Energy team. Suhail Khan has moved to the north east from Leeds to join d3a as a Design Engineer.

We’re on site at Sewerby Methodist Church today as solar PV panels are being installed. The plan had been to record the whole process with a drone, but the snowy weather forecast got the better of us.

This week d3a are welcoming Andrew Little, our new Graduate Engineer, to the Energy team.

Big news for the d3a Energy team. We’ve won a contract with Herefordshire Council to carry out detailed Heat Decarbonisation Plans on a number of council buildings across the County and we’ll be making site visits later this month.

Having been heavily focused on recruitment for the last few months the d3a team have been working with Durham University to promote the opportunities available within small and medium sized businesses.

The ADE January Strategic Workshop is taking place at Westminster today, bringing together industry leaders in the Decentralised Energy and District Heating markets.

We are thrilled to be able to continue working with the Yorkshire North and East Methodist District in their mission to become Net Zero.

As the UK continues to drive down its carbon intensity, real progress has been made in many areas. The energy generation sector is increasing renewable output via a diverse energy mix and great strides have been made within our transport system, with a general move towards electrification. However, a part of the eco-system where the solution has always been far more complex, relates to the way in which we heat our homes and businesses.

After successfully completing decarbonisation plans for 30 venues in Richmond & Scarborough, we're delighted to announce the project has been extended to include an additional 14 buildings in North Yorkshire.

We are pleased to announce that as part of our continued growth plans and to allow us to actively help shape policy within the Heat Networks and Decarbonisation sectors, we've become a member of The Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE).
